The whole country is in havoc over the sudden attack of winter weather but I am having the time of my life!! Mom is in pain right now with her raggedy knees and sour muscles from pulling my sleigh but I've been all comfy and warm in my top notch winter gear (believe me, these fashion types don't know how to dress for serious occasions ;-) So here's this weekend's account in pics, today we even went iceskating!

Just a quick update of the first month of this rumored year 2012, which flew by, probably because it was so much fun... like visiting my favorite museum Naturalis, going to a real cinema, modeling the latest fashion, having another ultra cool haircut by Holland's best hairdresser, playing with all my friends, buying our new car (a foxy almost brand new red one yoehoe!), my new hobby drawing!

Ho Ho Ho one more hour to go and the holidays are a Go!
We went to this crazy Xmas market with auntie Nienke and Jobje and got ourselves the cutest little Xmas tree and we have a real big one in our classroom as well. This week I had my first Xmas dinner at school which was super cool: mom and I made heartshaped Xmas-wentelteefjes with heartshaped ham and cheese and cucumber starts and moons, it looked and trasted great! Now getting all set for the Xmas weekend, including producing our official Xmas wish!

Sinterklaas madness

It's over, Sinterklaas went back home to Span again. It was such an exciting month where dad and Nolan and Jobje and everybody joined us to welcome Sint's steam boat full of Pieten in Amsterdam, and all those nights I was hoping for a present in my shoe (and there were many, as well as tons of pepernoten and chocolate and really cool cards and letters), and all the creative fun we had at school, and then Sint came by at the grandparents and then, at his real birthday yesterday, a big bag of presents was dropped in our hallway. I will never get used to that heart jumping moment when the Pieten bang the door... but then mom and I had the greatest time unwrapping presents and playing with all the new toys and watching the new super cool Ghibli movie I got. And then today Joff came by and he had found yet another present for me, in his shoe! So weird, because we had found a little present for Joff in our bag as well. Seems like Sint had made a mistake and guess what: I got the biggest box of Farao Quest Lego I could possibly dream off! We spent the next two and a half hours building everything like a big pyramid full of traps and secret doors and a huge scorpio monster and a desert truck.... ok, I know I haven't been the sweetest boy all the time but I am sure going to try and be real good because Sint said he'll be back again next year *^_^*

Mom and I have a saying and it goes something like: "It ain't fun when it's not a little bit scary" but of course that is only to swear of my fears for really scarry things. like.... well like for instance a real Halloween pumpkin! Uncle Kyle and his friend thought I should have the real childhood experience (in fact it was a first for mom too) so he invited us to the market and got us a huge and super heavy pumpkin that all of us then carved into a fun mean face that I designed more or less... and well. what do you say. Scary hey? We love it! Thank you Kyle and Ferdinand!!!

We just had a great herfstvakantie the week before and we did a bunch of nice trips like the archeological museum at my grandfolks, the Cinekid event where I met a bunch of famous characters from the telly and discovered all sorts of special effects they do. And we made a trip to the newly renovated Marine Museum here in Amsterdam, where a big whale's tail for kids to climb on was among the highs for me but grandpa and grandma and mom were really impressed with that place. I wanna go again some day to see the real VOC pirateship they have there ;-)

We were just in time last Saturday (after we dropped in on the Occupy Amsterdam demonstration briefly) for the 'children's books week' with the super heroes theme, meaning mom baught me a cool bedtime read about a kid wearwolf and I got another fus heroes book for free so I was all stoked. The coolest is my school who had a surprise act planned early in the morning the day this book fest started. There were actual super cool super heroes ... but non of them could open the school doors. Duh. They forgot the key!

By now I'm getting used to being back in school but when we took these pictures I was still getting ready for the big blue monday. Then we bumped into this huge party in the Vondelpark for all the new freshmen and women in town. They were all being incredibly cool sipping champagne in the sun while throwing oehs and ahs my way for getting totally excited about this mad bubble blowing machine! So school isn't that bad... I knew that! ;-)

My first... holiday in France

So Legoland fell through because of the utterly foul weather in our Northern regions and 'uncle' Paul suggested a better idea: we went south, to the very middle of France, and we stayed in a little castle with a super cool pool in the garden overlooking the valley and it was 35 degrees Celcius all week! I spend most of the time jumping in the pool and actually learned to swim because it was a tad bit too deep for me and we made some trips visiting medieval villages with ruines and castles and restaurants and a brocante antique market. It was great although I had an anger temper or two so Paul calls me Deven Von Drakenstein now but we made up and I've been a big boy since ;-) Enjoy the pics! This particularly hot friday afternoon in July I made a big scene when mom came to pick me up from school. She hurt her back trying to get my bad ass on the bike so we decided to cool down in the near by park. Well.... the problem was I took the cooling down a bit too literally. The other moms there seemed to think I was really cool, but mom really couldn't appreciate my punky wet but ;-)

Oh oh, it's already august! July has just been crazy, mom was super busy with work, the weather was awesome, hot and sunny, and I had my first big musical at school. My class did two songs, one cool rap on taking a bus ride and in the other act we were all acting out doves on Dam Square with a funny song. Mom and dad saw the early show - I did two in one day!- and were super proud. I just thought it was big fun. I have also been having great fun with my favorite class mate and regular play date Duco. I got to do some modelling again for this nice label 'kidscase' - they really love my goldie locks - and with the paycheck I got myself an awesome Buzz Lightyear talking doll so yeah it's not a bad career so far! My first school trip

All this updating only to get to my favorite entry of all: our trip to the Dolfinarium yesterday with grandma and grandpa. It was most awesome... after an hours drive mom and I parked the car and took a fun little train to meet grandma and grandpa in front of the park where they got a special handicapped parking space. One of the many advantages with grandpa in his wheel chair because we got to sit front row at all the shows! We saw the Zotte Zeeleeuwen show with the pirates, de magic Dream Wish show with the dolphins of course (with this scary bad guy called Nightmare), and the Mustache-show with the giant walruses. We had nice snacks and there were great playgrounds and so much more (including presents from the souvenir shop) so you can imagine what a great day I had and how waisted I was. Thank you grandma & grandpa for one of the best days of my life! *^_^*

How to loose a kite

We made a little trip with Paul and his brother and little girl Isa to a little beach near Amsterdam and they let up this big fancy new kite, only to let it crash in the trees a few seconds later. We spend the next hour watching Paul trying to figure out how to get his kite back. No chance obviously ;-) but I had good sand, sea and sun fun!

It's been a roller-coaster of parties and big days and I've been loving it all the way: I turned 4 hurray!
So I had a 'graduation party' at daycare, a full weekend of birthday parties, in moms garden and the next day at the grandfolks and then, tada, my first days at school! 3 mornings in a row. It was awesome and all the kids in my class were super sweet and I made lots of new friends already. All this I am now processing during my 2 week spring holiday (after which it will all kick off full time and for real!!) The best birthday present: unbelievably beautiful summer weather (oh and the Star Wars Light Saber and the big Fat Boy, two bikes, hotwheels and a super cool Thunderbird 2 spaceship with a Thunderbird 4 inside and gosh, so much more! Thanks for being there! ;-) here's some pics:

Last Saturday we had our first truly warm spring day and aunty Elle had the best idea bringing a bunch of friends together for a picknick in the Vondelpark which was packed with people who had the same idea but it was great no less because my big friend Illya was over from berlin with his parents and even uncle Paul came by and aunty Karen and we had a great time catching up and bonding over some soccer Illya and I ;-)

After a sunny afternoon in the Artis zoo we jumped in 'uncle' Paul's car for a lovely sunset dinner at this great place called Paal 14. All the sun, sea wind and running around in the sand made me pretty hungry and all in all I got to stay up super late *^_^*

On the second day of this year I got to do some modelling again, this time for this real handsome organic label Kidscase. Tesla and Bela were there too and their mom and dad who had photographed me for the stamp. They showed us this strange picture of my stamp on chocolates. (Unfortunately the chocolates had disappeared in their studio.) The Kidscase shoot was awesome, we build a house with some scraps while the sun was peeking through the window. I earned myself two dinosaures and a big voucher for the toy store! Life is sweet ;-)

Howdy all & our best wishes for 2011.The year I will go to school so this must be a good year. But it didn't start off with big fireworks, mom was a bit 'under the weather' & the lovely snow had all gone, but we had great small fireworks on new years eve thanks to Kyle who dropped by. We took the baby-fireworks packs to the garden and I had a great time except or those little buggers that just go bang I loved the pretty stuff. Our Holidays had been super cosy, with X-mas dinner (and tons of santa gifts) at the grandparents, and even more new toys when mom had a scoop with a vintage Playmobile pirateship that came with an extra bag of vintage Playmobile goodies and a load of awesome vintage lego. Apart from that I've really become hooked on computer games... so mom finally budged and got us an iPhone.

Dealing with a white Xmas

As you all know there has been abundant snow since Sinterklaas and it's not even Xmas. I hear there's lots of trafic trouble for the grown ups but MY trafic has been terrific since uncle Paul got me this cool sled last Friday (just in time!). may there be more and more snow (except for the Xmas weekend when we have to drive to the grandparents for the Xmas stuffings and ... presents!)

Of course it is great to be photographed by moms friends Niels Schumm and Anushka Blommers, they are great with kids, but I don't think I like being a celebrity kid. Guess I'll be wearing sunglasses for the next couple of months and maybe get a radical haircut or something ;-)

Texel holiday

The second week of october mom and I went for our long awaited holiday break to Texel. Lucky us: it was the last sunny week of the season and right before the regular school holidays. We took the car and discovered the whole island, all it's beaches, museums and kids stuff like the tropical swimming paradise and the amazing playground at the Krim resort. We stayed at a super cool old Texel sheep farm, in an apartment up in the attic, but we enjoyed long days outside and around and went out for diner every night. My favorite was the 'Sommeltjes pad' through the woods, with countless little fun creatures called Sommeltjes hidden between or in the streets. I got so excited I didn't even notice that I walked for at least 1,5 kilometers!

We had another great weekend playing badminton, spiderman and kung fu but the highlight was our late fish and ships dinner at the beach last night. With our tummies full we took a stroll on a dark beach, just after sun set which was pretty spectacular, a bit spooky for me, and very pretty indeed:

Fairy Tale Wonderland

Look, last sunday we went to fairy tale wonderland in Enkhuizen up nort, together with auntie Nienke and Jop. It was a super nice day, very sunny and warm, so the moms were as happy as us. It was amazing in fact, all these little houses playing all the fairy tales I know, and more. The best part was the boat ride I took all by myself, even though we had to wait in line forever. When wonderland closed we went to Enkhuizen to eat fish and chips and we had a nice stroll through the harbor with all these big pirate ships, before we had a super yummy ice cream. It was all so good both Jop and I fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up till next morning!

So mom figured I needed some cool stools to climb our super high toilet for instance. The stools are indeed wonderful and with one high and one low I can get pretty high up around the house, but it didn't motivate to try poopoo on the big potty sorry ;-)

So yeah it happened twice; I did pipi in my potty, once sitting down, once standing, both times after taking a bath. Big deal. Mom got all crazy about it, had a big present for me (a bouncy remote controlled Tonka car which doesn't seem to work inspite the fortune mom spent on re-chargeable batteries). So that did it. I went on strike again. I'll do the potty when I feel like it, when nobody is watching for example ;-)

Monday morging mom had to go to an meeting so uncle Paul stayed to babysit. So I took for for a tour of the neighborhood, me on my bike, and we checked in on a couple of playgrounds and the bakery. We ran into this sign and I surprised uncle Paul with my literary talent when I pointed out mom's name. We had a great time, I didn't miss mom at all but when the monthly test-alarms went off I did get a bit worried and started to call out for her real loud so then she came home.

Ha look, we went to the beach with auntie Annette last saturday. The weather turned on us and we had some rain and it got a bit cold and on top of that I could not play on the big trampoline so to make up for all that I got this crazy ice cream with blue sprinkles. In no time me and mom were blue in the face and soon the whole thing dropped on the floor but it was fun while it lasted!

Today was another picture perfect sunny sunday. Together with uncle Paul we went to the infamous Flevopolder to explore some renowned Land Art. After picking up the little guide at museum De Paviljoens we went on to check Lelystad first where we hoped to find this gigantic 26 meters high wire statue of a sitting man staring over the Markermeer. Sadly we didn't see it and strangely nobody we asked could recall such a statue so we'd like to report this back hoping to unravel the mystery. Next on route was Robert Morris' Observatorium which looked nearly overgrown but it was quite wicked with the echo in the middle of this modern stonehenge-circle and I especially loved the field filled with little fluffy balls of seeds which I blew off in the wind. On our slightly estranged way to the next land art destination uncle Paul got a mirage of french fries so we stranded in this pretty cool recreational park where we met a man with two parrots, we visited the rescued monkeys and played in a hedge labyrinth and more of that outdoor pleasure. It's called De Kemphaan and I personally recommend it to all my little friends as well as the parents because it was real nice and quiet and spacious and fun and that goes for the Land Art too. Hope to see some more soon!

Playmobil Planet

Oh almost forgot to post our trip to Playmobil Planet which was already two weeks ago! What can I say, it was paradise. And there was a discount store where I got to pick a wonderful three headed dragon like King Ghidora as a souvenir, along with a paper crown I wore for the rest of the week ;-)

Here's the photo account of my 3rd birthday triatlon, interrupted by Queensday and topped off by Liberty-day yesterday so all in all we've been partying for almost 2 weeks straight and I've been spoiled rotten with presents and fun! It started with my treating the homey's at daycare where mom's cool plates are still up for decoration.
On the morning of my 3rd birthday 'papa Theo' came and together we went to the bike store where I got to pick out my first real bike. It's the coolest bike ever and the same day I managed to ride it real well. My party started that afternoon and mom had a massive headache so she instructed everyone to be real smooth and easy. It turned out the best party ever. The adults gathered in the garden, and me and the boys, Philip, Jop and Bas mostly played inside. All the adults were amazed how sweet we were that afternoon, never picking fights or hitting each other on the head with toys ;-) Later on the party moved to the street, following the sun, and we took out all my cars and bikes to play on our wide curb. Mom had slowly recovered from her headache but was still happy the party didn't go on until dark this time.
Next day we went to the zoo where we hooked up with dad and Nolan for a birthday picnic. There was this amazing peacock showing off his feathers and we played all afternoon. I simply had the best time.
The weekend after that, the day after queensday (of which no pictures were taken because I was not exactly very cooperative that day) uncle Paul surprised us by picking us up just when we were about to drive to the grand parents. More birthday cake and presents awaited and on sunday grandma and granddad took me to this fairy-tale play and pancake place where I got the royal treatment.
Apart from my wicked bike my third birthday's theme was dominated by lots of poop and potty training stuff including super cool big boy underwear, piles of new books and tiny big boy lego and other construction toys that I adore!

It's FINALLY spring and we just had the best weekend with tons of fun and sunny outings (I mean really, all that playing indoors drove me mad). Little Tesla's birthday yesterday was a blast with lots of kids and cakes and new toys. And today was totally awesome as well: we spent half the day at the Zoo where spring time had also kicked in. The elephants were pushing each other around, which the grownups thought was real funny. Then we swung by the flea market where we bumped into this great pirate set up... one of those days, you know.

So this fun picture really wasn't all that much fun cause mom and I went out to the goat farm in the forest a bit late that saturday afternoon, craving some fresh air. I had to wear these wacky vintage sun glasses that mom keeps in the car because the sun was already very low. We were the last ones to leave, and then the car was dead. So there we were in the middle of the forest waiting for some 2 hours for the ANWB-service to show up, and I can tell you it got real dark, and cold, but mom keeps a bunch of blankets in the car and had all these snacks and drinks in her bag so ... ok we made it, the two of us, like always... *^_^*

Baby Carnaval

Last weekend was carnaval in Riverland. At daycare they had already tested my Lion-look but we arrived a bit late in Riverland so grandma did the 60 second version and off we went watching the children's carnival parade. I was hooked instantly when I discovered some playground friends in the parade dressed like Zeeuws Meisje. Next day grandma and me went to see the adult parade as well, dark and cold but not to be missed! Alaaf!!

The Front Row Kid

It was fashion week in Amsterdam and I accompanied mom to several shows where we always make a nice couple on the front row. (We were photographed all the time so if you run into one of those shots on the web, let us know!) For one of these occasions (the Claes Iversen show on Friday night to be precise) I finally agreed to wear this vintage suit. I admit it wasn't so bad and everybody was full of ah & oh. Gotta make mom proud once in a while hey? ;-)

The first decade of my century has come to a close and mom and I feel real good about starting the next, if only because we know what to call it: TWO TENS! Sounds like a winning number to us.
Here's a wrap up of our holiday story with great presents (still one of my favorite subjects I know but hey, I'm only two) like a real wicked parking garage, the complete PINK PANTHER DVD box and, well, uncle Paul really topped it off when he came by on New Year's Eve with this madly sized flat screen TV under his arm. All that good material stuff was compensated with lot's of contemplative sporty outings to the seaside and the forest and oh boy did I love the fireworks!

Throwing snowballs is my favorite game now the world is covered in all that white delight. We tried making a snowman a couple of times but it's harder than we thought and it needs a special kind of sticky snow. let's see what's yet to come this season!

While we're still munching the last bit of 'pepernoten' we're moving straight from one Santa to the next! Last weekend we put up a pretty Christmas tree and the little lights in the old pine tree outside our bedroom window and this morning - surprise surprise - the world was white with snow! Guess the next post will be about us skating on natural ice again ;-)

Dag Sinterklaasje

Last Sunday was the big day Sinterklaas and all the Pieten arrived in Amsterdam. We followed the boat through the Amstel and then joined auntie Nienke and little Jop at the end of the steamboat route where we got a real close look. Although it was raining and cold the crowd was in a great mood and we sang all the Sinterklaas-songs we could think off. Unfortunately we couldn't find Papa Theo and Nolan in this cols mess. After a hot chocolate, just when we wanted to head back home, we bumped into uncle Paul so we had a quick peek at the parade before racing home for some good warming up on the couch. Mom and I were both down with serious colds and an ear infection last week so ... but anyhow, I'm all better now!

Mom took me to the airport to wave off uncle Joff. There was a great playground but they insisted I join them of the panorama deck for that unavoidable picture time. OH goodie my favorite 'uncle' in the world Joff is in town for a whole month and he even came to stay with us for a few days last week. We had the best time riding horse and having exhausting pillow fights. I was so over excited that I needed a whole weekend to recover but as long as Joff's in town he'll be visiting as often as he can to play with me before he heads back to his new home in New York. Then it's back to skype ;-(

Because grandma and grandpa were still on holidays I got to spend lots of extra time with mom and since the weather was so amazing we went to the Vondelpark two afternoons in a row, where I got to splash around in the big baby pool, climb a real big castle and this cool rock formation. I had the best time, but as best times go, I hated it when they had to come to an end even though I was totally exhausted. So I made some terrible noise fighting mom but eventually I fell vast asleep on the back of the bike.

The other day when I was playing with my chalks on the curb a whole bunch of kids from the neighborhood joined in and together we made this big artwork in the street. It was a real party, and we hope the neighbors love what we made because it hasn't rained since so it's still out there!

Cause grandma and grandpa were on holidays for 2 weeks I got to hang out some more with my big brother Nolan and 'papa Theo' on Sundays. We went to the Zoo, watched my new Brum DVD and raced my cars on the curb. Great fun, and really exhausting all that wild boy stuff.

Mom and I were treated to a super midweek stay at this new CO2-neutral camping concept called Het Verborgen Verblijf on Veluwe Zoom, with a 'great 19th century explorer' theme. We made fire to cook in the slow food wagon, played very old records on a prehistoric record player, cycled for low voltage electricity, looked at the stars with a telescope and I fooled around with a microscope (and of course the Casio keyboard mom brought along as well as a great battery-operated tractor I got as a holiday present). Every morning we went to get fresh eggs at the hens, got veggies and strawberry's from the garden and played with the dog and kittens on the estate. We also went for little trips in the car exploring the surroundings (including a tropical swim paradise that put me into a coma afterwards;-) Mom had her birthday while we were there and uncle Paul, auntie Esmee with little Bas and Jessica with doggie Neo came to visit. I got to stay up real late every night because I got a bit scared... so dark out and all the strange noises in the bedroom tent were a bit too impressive. Apart from all the over excitement that kept me from sleeping we had the best time together.

And of course back home in Amsterdam we've been having a great summer time. Apart from Saturday nights at the zoo (till sunset that is), eating pizza and jamming around as usual I particularly love hosing the garden.

And we also went to this annual harvest fest at the eco-farm in Riverland again, something mom doesn't want us to pass up because she wants me to know where food and stuff comes from, you know, like a healthy country boy. Whateverrrrr. I take most interest in the big farm machines and the hey stacks, cause I'm a boy. City boy, country boy, all the same to me! (must admit I was quite impressed to actually get to sit on a pony ;-)

Because mom didn't really plan a far and away holiday for us we just have as much summer fun as possible these days. I got this big present last week; a real work bench with lot's of tools and noisy sounds, which I'm totally, and I mean madly stoked with. It was present day apparently cause dad got me a Hector-tractor the same day ;-) Apart from the goodie fest, we take day trips to the beach for instance. My first encounter with the Northsea was a bit impressive but I totally got the hang of the beach life now!

My new hobby is body painting. Last weekend I made a nice piece of modern art for grandma's birthday. Mom simply put aside the carpet, took off my clothes and gave me some plates of finger paint and a bunch of paper. It was great fun, the best one I did was with both my feet! Then I figured I could paint myself just as well...

he he look! Mom and uncle Paul cut down an ugly old pine in the garden and put up this rad old little play house for me. It even has mom's lucky number 3 and mom put in a table, a chair, some play food and a funny little dog (which is actually for watering the flowers). It's been rainy lately but as soon as the hot summer is back I want to spend my siesta in my own little house! In the mean time mom made a solid clean tile floor under the house to keep spiders and other little creatures from squatting the place ;-)

My big brother Nolan is having a school holiday so we got to hang out a bit in the last couple of weeks. He came along when papa Theo picked me up from daycare, we went swimming once and we went to the zoo one evening when mom had to go to a fashion show. That was the best, I was so excited I couldn't get to sleep afterwards. More big bro holidays!

My first boat trip

Last friday after daycare mom had a big surprise. She'd packed a bag with swimming vest and goodies and then we went to the canal where uncle Paul came with his boat to pick us up for a little boat trip. I was very very impressed and a bit desoriented so I wanted to go back home... but once I recognised the bridge over the Amstel - the route we take when we go to the zoo - I was fine and started singing like an old sailor. Uncle Paul even let me handle the stick (when we were tied to the shore that is ;-)

Look mom dug up her old baby tea set which is indeed totally cool to play with although she kept reminding me not to throw it around. Then last night we hopped in the car to get me this new vintage stool I'm totally stoked with because it's bigger then the old one and it has wheels! Old stuff's pretty cool!

My first casualty

Friday after daycare I gave mom the scare of her life (well, probably the first in a row of parent nightmares). We just got home and were planning to hop out again for a game of soccer before dinner when mom finally got notice from our internet provider to solve our broken connection. While she was on the phone trying all kinds of tricks with wires and re-sets I found an interesting little box in her office drawer, containing razor sharp Stanley-knife refills. Mom dropped the phone and I dropped the box but withing the same second I managed to grab one of those knives and refused to give it back. Well... you can imagine what happened next. Blood everywhere, mom hysterical, ambulance called - turned out a bit over dramatic but mom had envisioned much worse damage. Never the less we spend the rest of the evening in the hospital, where we were kept waiting for 3,5 hours just to learn that the ambulance doctor's fix was sufficient. My middle finger has a nasty cut so I have to play with one hand and the worse bit is I don't get to play with water for a couple of days but apart from that we're all good and recovered from the shock. I guess next time it's wise considering actually listening to what mom says, especially when she gets that panic look on her face ;-)
ps. all sharp and even semi sharp objects have been stored in the highest possible places in the house by now.

My first haircut

Saturday was the day I lost my wild curly hair at this cool children's hair salon. Unfortunately I was in a terrible 'no' mood so the result is a bit of an emergency cut but I must say I quite like it. No more hair in my eyes and mouth the whole time and the brushing is much less annoying! Mom's still mourning over my pretty curls which she took home in a plastic bag but she says I'm still pretty ;-)

Tantrum break

Last Friday when mom picked me up from daycare we went straight to the childcare center for another check up. It has been a while since I'd seen the doctor but, apart maybe from my 'anger tantrums' all is well; I'm 88 centimeters now and weigh 12,5 kilograms. The next day mom and auntie Nienke took little Jop and me on a surprise trip. We went to see a great Alice in Wonderland play-exhibition and then had fresh baked fish in a nice place called Hoorn. I had such a huge anger tantrum that morning, mom totally forgot to pack my buggy in all her stress. Luckily I got a ride from Jop and decided to be a real nice boy the rest of the weekend and mom decided we'd take it real easy for a couple of days. She'd found me a huge new bathtub and since it's real nice and sunny I got to bath in the garden. I even had my siesta in a little tent in the garden, that was awesome, and auntie Karen came to visit and we went out for huge ice creams! But yesterday when we bought a new vacuum cleaner my puberty behavior surfaced again. We picked a super cool red "Henry" but I love it so much we got into a fight about who gets to use it. Well you guessed it, this is my chore from now on! ;-)

Holiday special

Yesterday was a national bank holiday so I didn't have to go to daycare. Instead mom's friend 'uncle Paul' took us on a surprise trip. First we went to this miniature world called Madurodam, which was totally awesome. Lot's of planes, trains and automobiles I was not allowed to touch but it was still super cool. After visiting the life size Sesamstraat set up we went back in the car for another surprise destination; the beach! I was a bit tired but we lounged on a sunny couch at a nice beach restaurant for a while until I was ready to face the biggest sandpit and water pool I ever saw. I was a bit impressed at first and cried when the cold sea touched my bare feet but I really loved all the sand. So many kids and kites and dogs and nice people.... Mom says we'll go more often now that I got the hang of it. Mom and Paul took a nice countryside detour back home but I slept the whole time, exhausted from all the excitement.
