4th grade

To top off a great first day in 4th grade with my best friend Duco, the mailman brought me a brand new lunchbox & water bottle (no lemonade for me thank you) ;-)

With the summer holiday running to an end - including the sudden change in weather, but let's not talk about that - we had plenty of fun in Zoo's and museums and a great play park we discovered where we can build our own tree houses! Mom said it was surprisingly therapeutic to hammer away for an afternoon ;-) Oh yeah and the glow in the dark midget golf, that's where I want to celebrate my next birthday!

Best summer ever

This summer mom and I went to the south of Spain where our neighbors have this great house with swimming pool at a stones throw from the 'costa del sol'. Nienke and Job joined us and we had the best time! Job and me swimming all day while the moms were relaxing and reading. And every day we made a trip by car, to the many beaches and our one favorite beach club 'El Hornillero' in Almayate, to the amazing caves in Nerja, to the 'balcony of Europe and beautiful cities like Malaga, Velez-Malaga, Nerja, Maro, Frigiliana ... Nienke promised to send more pics (including underwater pics!) but here's our humble selection!

Message in a bottle

My summer holiday kicked off on a lucky note: on one of our first trips to the coast I found this message in a bottle. Unfortunately it didn't travel very far, it was probably thrown in that same day on the same beach @ Egmond, by two Dutch girls who hoped it would end up in England. We let them wait until the end of the summer before writing back ;-) 

Finally 120 mrt!

And that means I get to ride (almost) all roller coasters in the Efteling!!!! So that's what we did just before the summer holiday, with Bojan and his mom (who is, unlike my mom, crazy about roller coasters)

Red Carpet

My career is sky rocketing along, I barely turned 7 and already had my debut on the big screen ... ok along with all the other kids in my school as the end-of-year-play was a movie about our soon to be revamped old school building ;-) But hey, we did the red carpet thing, and the movie premiered in the prettiest (authentic Art Deco) cinema in town: Tushinski!

Yes! I had my 7th birthday parties - at the grandparents, at dad's, at school and at home (we did a Kingsday-afterparty) and it was awesome (even though I didn't get a Nintendo DS which has been on my wish list for as long as I can remember such a thing exists)!
