Zenday
Komban wa! Today is zenday. Mom and I were really tired so we slept the whole morning, real cosy side to side in the big bed, listening to Japanese easy tunes. Then mom prepared a 'baby onsen', a Japanese style bath, after which I got to lounge on my tatami in this fab traditional Japanese silk kimono I got from 'funny' aunt Karen. I felt like a real samurai, can't wait to start my martial arts training. Ki-ai!

meet Max
Today we celebrated my one month on earth with aunty Ute and little Max, on a sunny terrace in the Pijp. For the record, the beer is 'malt' ;-)
Max is a real cool dude, he's the same age as me but he came out a week early whereas I stayed inside for two extra weeks. Figures, he's the wise guy and I'm the shy kid... we will see!

Happy Birthday - the movie
Look what mom's friends at One Day Nation made for my birthday! Cool or what??? (ok, apart from John de Mol... )

On the road
Today mom and I went on our first safari into the great big world. It took mom almost all morning to figure out my ride and once on the road it took her half the trip to figure out how to keep the sun out of my eyes. I hope she'll act more experienced tomorrow so I don't have to pretend to be asleep the whole time.

I love art
Some of you have already received my very special birth card, designed by 'funny aunt' Karen with the wonderful artwork by Joff. Don't you think it looks just like me? Apart from the beauty mark which Joff couldn't have guessed. And of course both cats, Monkey, and the late Bowie - the naughty one - who will be with me in spirit, and hair color ;-)

Basket case
How do you like my retro basket? Now mommy is up most of the day I get to sleep in my own bed. It's very cosy being surrounded by my multi coloured friends. Grandma Helen made the bed-lining back in the 70's for her best friend Wilma's kids and later her grand children. Now it's my turn.
The toy puppet is the very first present I ever got. I was only a foetus of 2 months when mommy was on holiday on this 5-star resort island in the Maldives. Mrs. Kerr, the wife of the resort's big boss, gave mommy the present just a few minutes before departure. It's a great reminder of the wonderful time mom and I had there with 'funny aunt' Karen and all the wonderful disco fish, fruit bats and dolphins we saw.

My first Queensday
Unfortunately mommy is not up and running just yet so we had to skip the Queensday fleamarket, but I got to wear this cool Queensday underwear. It's hand painted by 'auntie' Esmee who lives just a few doors down the street. It says Boebe which is Dutch for 'Bube', the name mom and dad used until my real name was ready to be announced.
Sleeping beauty
This is how we spend most of the day, sleeping and lounging. Mom & dad are lucky folks, because I love to sleep, and when I'm awake I'm just quietly checking out all the wonderful shapes and colors around me. Crying I save for the milk call but mom and dad have the routine going pretty well so it is hardly necessary to make noise.
Home sweet home
Grandma & Grandpa
Hello World, it's me Deven Eno ;-)
Ok, it was not the cleanest break out but here I am! At 6.50 in the morning, on April 24th, after 12 rough hours in the hospital and with a little help from the docters and nurses, I managed to make it to the outside. There was poop everywhere so they had to take me away from mommy for a short while but dad was on my side the whole time and everything turned out just fine. So, here I am, a healthy little red head boy, 3745 grams, named Deven Eno. I spend 42 weeks and 1 day in mommy's tummy so I'm quite the little man already. Check out my beauty mark!
