Wowie eyes
Today mom took me to the eye doctor to check my 'suspicious twitch'. The doctor was real nice and played with a flashlight, but then she put these tears from a bottle in my eyes and the rest of the day the world looked a bit out of focus, weird! Mom said I looked really 'stoned'... Tomorrow everyting will be crystal clear again, because there's absolutely nothing wrong with my eyes! I was just working my eye muscles to the extreme ;-)

Off day
Oh I forgot to tell you that I'm 3 months old this week. I got this cool pirate ship-pillow present in the mail from soon-to-be-mom-and-dad Berber & Tjebbe in Berlin on my 3 month birthday. But being 3 months is not all fun. Today I had to go to the childcare center to get those nasty vaccination shots again and I felt very sleepy the rest of the day. The good news is that I've grown lots since the last check up; I am now 66 cm and almost 7,5 kilograms!
Pyjama party
Last night when mom was wrapping a present for aunty Karen's birthday I discovered the best toy: paper! After this fun pyjama party aunty Esmee came to babysit but she has the strange habit of taking off my pyjama's before putting me to bed so I had to make a bit of a scene. But then she called mom and I thought "Oh well, mom will be back from her dinnerparty when I wake up and then she'll put my pyjama's back on and everything will be back to normal again" and I fell vast asleep and had nice dreams about lots of paper to play with....
Pretty ladies
This week aunty Yuko came to visit us all the way from Barcelona! She brought a big bag full of sunshine and nice presents from her 2 year old Tai. We were out on the town and in the park a lot and at night aunty Esmee joined us for dinner at this cool new pizza joint. We had a great time, I like pretty ladies with long dark hair and dark eyes ;-)

Growing pains
I've been a bit off the last few days, the famous 12 weeks-growing pains they say. So I'm sleeping most of the time and I seem to be very attached to moms arms. Still we had a fun weekend in riverland with the grandparents. I admired the local nature, uncle Bert even held me in his arms and grandma and grandpa just had the best time watching me grow under their noses ;-)

Green day
I'm 12 weeks and the nice summer has returned so this morning after breakfast mom gave me a bath and dressed me extra fruity in these new green clothes (they were presents from aunty Ute and Marieke ;-). Then I discovered something weird behind these doors in our bedroom; there's a lot of moms there and some nice little fellows smiling at me! Mom also showed me the wonderful book I got yesterday from aunty Maureen with lots and lots of pictures of just about everything, like all these trees. I saw so many trees today, all in all it was a very green day.

What's new?
Today we spend another cosy day with the grandfolks. What's new you say? Everything is new! I have clearly entered a new phase, where I learn a lot of fascinating new things. So first of all I sleep a lot (today for the first time I took a long nap on my belly) to process all the change. I work full time with my hands now, and tasting them makes me drewl like an old dog. Then I discovered I can blow great bubbles with the extra saliva. What else, oh the talking is even more fun now that I master al these new sounds and I can also almost keep my head up all by myself when I sit!

Holiday
Today felt like a real holiday. It was nice and warm so we played in the garden the whole morning until I fell asleep again. When I woke up funny auntie Karen just arrived with lots of nice brunch goodies and after our tummy's were full we went for a nice walk to get ice cream (I can't wait to get a taste of that!) Back home uncle Peter joined us to celebrate his 41 birthday. I had to pose on his lap of course, but as you can see, uncle Peter is not a very comfortable seat. But the four of us had a great night and it went on long after I went to sleep. I really like to fall asleep with the cosy sounds of a nice party in the background ;-)

Big Brother
This monday by big brother Nolan came to help dad baby-sit while mom went to her office for a few hours. Nolan will be 8 this thursday! So, when I am 8 he will be 16 and we can go to the zoo together and play computer games (he will let me win) and he can teach me lots of things. It's great to have a big brother!

Sunday & fun
Today's even warmer than yesterday so we spend the whole morning in the garden like in the good old days. Then at noon mom took me to an outdoor fleamarket where she bought lots of cool clothes for me for next to nothing. I was a bit overdressed for the occasion, wearing my Dior body (finally) and my new (second hand) Burberry khaki's but we met with aunty Jessica and Neo the dog so I wanted to look extra nice ;-)
Sun & fun
Finally a sunny weekend! So we spend lots of time outside. Yesterday we went for a real long walk following the lovely canal from our house all the way to the villa part of town. We saw a flock of goose with cute babies and lounged on a sunny terrace where a nice garçon warmed my bottle of milk. We felt so energised that we stayed up and talked until quite late. After the photoshoot with the nice Rembrandt-light I had to go to bed though...

Grandma-day
Today grandma came all the way to Amsterdam by train, bearing gifts as usual ;-) At first it was a bit hectic while mom and grandma cleaned the whole house just when I was having my siesta but the rest of the day was big fun. We watched funny baby movies on YouTube, went for a ride into town and then aunty Esmee and her 'flip' came over for tea to show off her black and blue face (something little babies like me shouldn't know about but apparently there was some row in our street earlier this week).

Summer or not
As an anti depressant mom dressed me extra summer-ish today: my eco coton body keeps me warm while my eco coton American Apparel tank top (a sweet present from my favorite latina Iris) and vintage Petit Bateau pants with nostalgic beach print give me that swell holiday look. Beach or no beach, we also got quite active, trying to lift and turn my head, throw a ball, stuff like that. And in between I sunbathe behind the window. Yummy nice and warm... ;-)
