Spoil me rotten

Yippie, we visited grandma and grandpa in the land of Maas and Waal again! Mom had to cool it with her back a little so she let the old folks play with me and stuff. My grandparents really spoil me. I always get presents and lots of new diapers and other stuff to take home. Grandma gave me a bath in the same old tub she used to bathe mommy in, back in the 60's when she was my size. It was real nice, floating on my back, splashing as much water as I want. I think I'm ready for my private swimming pool in our back garden now mom!

New toys!

We had to go see the family doctor this week (I seem to have a suspicious twitch in my eyes, hum... guess it's gone already) so, but that happened to bring us on the doorstep of this really cool wooden toy store. Knowing mom, she just had to buy me some noisy toys. She's no doubt gonna regret that one day, very soon ;-)

Blue suede shoes

This week mommy dearest made me wear my blue suede Vans sneakers. They were a present from rock 'n roll auntie Femke. Not that I'm walking or anything but I've been growing so big lately, they're almost too small already! Anyhow, it takes some practice putting shoes on babies, starting with telling left from right... duh!

Buddha baby

This weekend mom had a zen 'sesshin' meditating with the master and afterwards she came to get me so she could show me off to all the sweet zen monks and nuns. These zen folks love babies and children because we seem to be perfect little buddha's. They had a big lunch-diner-party but I fell asleep on a real comfi couch. Mom changed my diaper in the dojo on the tatami where the zen master greets the buddha. Maybe it's best he doesn't know ;-)

Milk panic

Mom's loosing controll I can tell... we were so out of milk this morning 'cause mom was flat out of cash (she lost her bag on the tram earlier this week - but luckily got everything back only after she cancelled all her cards). So funny aunty Karen had to come to the rescue and delivered a fresh box of milk powder this morning before going to work. Just in time! Right after the milk panic we went to the doctor for my first vaccination shots. That wasn't much fun but I was a big boy about it and only cried a teeny bit. I came out ahead of the pack with the regular check up again; I am now 61,5 cm and weigh almost 6,3 kilograms. Like I said, I'm a big boy ;-)

8 weeks

Today we celebrated my 8 weeks on earth with Joff. We went to the park and had lunch and then icecream. Joff insisted on pushing my ride "to see how it feels" and he even helped mom change my diaper on a terrace. I think babies become him very well ;-)

The Big Sleep (2)

And this is how I woke up in my new big bed. Me like! And mommy too, she doesn't wake up from me slamming the crib anymore. Now I can wave my arms and kick my legs as much as I want and she wakes up from my cheerful shrieks instead ;-)

The Big Sleep

Today mom and grandma and aunty Esmee installed my new big bed. I was so exhausted from all the fuss I fell vast asleep in grandma's arms. As soon as they leave I'm gonna drink as much warm milk as I can so I can retire for a big sleep in my king size bed as soon as possible! Oh goodie...

Piggy bank

Mom took me all the way to China Town / the Red Light District today to look for a golden piggy bank. Those Chinese people were real friendly when they saw me; " Oh he is a pig! Lucky baby!" they said and directed us to the best store with lots of golden pigs. After that we changed into the Bugaboo and met funny aunty Karen with Neo the ball crazy dog in the park and took refuge for a big thunderstorm at a café. Mom and I are real tired now, I had a full double dose of warm milk and went straight to bed. Golden Piggy day was a good day ;-)

Baby practice

Aunty-on-da-block Esmee came by last night to check me out and got to practice a bit of that baby stuff, you know, the rockin' in arms and singing baby songs. I bet she's gonna make a baby soon too. That would be ace so I have someone to play with in our super nice kid-friendly street. Mom and Esmee better learn some baby songs soon though...

Eco baby

Mom and I went shopping today, just because (it's wasn't raining for a change). She got me this super cool biological coton body from her favorite eco baby store. I love it, I want one in every size! Gotta be nice to my planet right? I'm even getting a green & childlabour-free savings account. (Gotta pay back for all those diapers I'm producing.. huh, sorry 'bout that!)

BIG friends

Mom got me this super soft Barbabob but I suspect she bought it for herself cause the label says: "For ages 3 & up - This is not a toy". How confusing is that? I happen to love my Barbabob! He is black and white and he smiles so that's what guys my age dig. Me and Bob are BIG friends!

Laptop

Mom learned a new position for me to hang out in; belly down on her tilted lap. It's good for my posture she says. And I can practice lifting my head. Anyhow, it's mighty comfi, I tend to fall asleep while she rubs my back. Maybe working out 's just not my thing.

Fashion report (again)

It's becomming a bit tired having to pose for the camera all the time cause mom loves the outfits she put's together for me. Apparently she even does it when I'm asleep! But ok, I do look rather smashing in my new size range gear, especially the Polo Ralph Lauren vest, my very first piece of clothing. It was send to mom's office by courrier - how ab fab - a present from the famous fashion illustrator Piet Paris & his newly wed husband Marc.

Sleep over

Mom and I just spend a weekend in the country at my grand parents cause grandpa celebrated his 65th birthday. It was great, grandma even set up a cool vintage 'babyprison' and a 'camping bed' for me. And eventhough it was granddad's big birthday party, I got lots of visitors and presents too! My peeps down there in riverland are real nice folks ;-)

Best siesta

I managed to make it clear to mom that I strongly prefer to have my siesta in her arms, especially on a hot summer day like today. And thanks to our new super cool Droog design sun-shade we don't have to move around for some shadow the whole time. Can I have some milk on ice please?

In love

Meet Tesla. Isn't she cute? She's exactly one month older than me and can already keep her head up. But I am much bigger and my head too... hmm, I better start working out so I make a good impression next time we meet aunty Anuschka and little Tesla. Oh oh... I think I'm in love!

The good life

My horoscopes (both Taurus and Pig) say I love parties with lots of friends and good food and stuff. Well, they're right! I got my first taste of it last night when mom took me to a BBQ party with her friends on a big boat, and it was great. Mom has lots of friends who not only like to party but they also like babies!

Baby prison

Yesterday mom and dad moved around a lot of furniture to install my new crib. 'Baby prison' is great though! Lot's of space to kick around in. Time for some action ;-)

Happy family

My grandfolks come to visit us almost every week. Grandma just loves doing all the diapers and bottles and baths while mom's doing the catering for us all. And I get to chill out with granddad. He's funny, he looks just like me, just 65 years older ;-)

Fashion report

Good thing I got a fashionista mom who can pimp up some of those boring baby clothes. Lot of trouble for the one occasion I get to wear it -I'm growing real fast these days- but hey, I'm worth it!
